I've been doing Basketball at school since 3rd year and recently I'm really enjoying it. So much so I joined the senior school team. Aswell as training after schools we've started playing the teachers at lunch.

Love it!

Anyone else on here interested?

I was a huge Basketball fan back when I was at school.
We played basketball on a daily basis at school and I got to the point where I wasnt completely shit at it :P
We used to go and watch the 'Edinburgh Rocks' before they changed to the 'Scottish Rocks' too.

I was also in Chicago over New Year and got too see The Bulls play Orlando Magic which was a great treat as I was a big Chicago Bulls fan (Jordan and Pippen especially) when I was at school.

Me in Chicago at 'The United Center'

Always enjoyed it but never picked up a team to follow which makes it more difficult. Went to my first NBA game in Seattle last year, Sonics v Hornets but now the Sonics have buggered off I'm not supporting the Oklahoma Thunder.

Stunning sport to watch live and our tickets in Seattle were $15, cheapest coming in at $10! Enjoy watching the Cavs for LeBron and the Suns for Nash, if I were to say I followed any team it would be Toronto but just lost interest a bit since I came back to Scotland.

Just finished with basketball, coaching and officiating(sp?) it at the college. Really good fast paced sport to be involved in. Good to coach too, so much so I got an A for coaching and officiating a 10 minute conditioned game :D

Professionally? I have seen the Scottish Rocks a few times, lost interest in them though. Not seen them in years,

Caldwell is actually a great centre half however consistency can be an issue for him, technically his distribution of the ball for a defender is as good as Pique or Puyol.

Just watched a great college basketball game there between Villanova and Pitt Panthers, ended 78-76 to Villanova, it went right to the end with Pittsburgh going level with 5 seconds to go only to lose it with half a second on the clock.

I was over in Chicago a few weeks ago and caught the Bulls against the Knicks - was excellent!

Does anyone know what's happening with NBA coverage next year as I heard that Five weren't renewing their contract??? Could do with better coverage over here...

LeBron is a bit special for the cavs.
The highlights are on Setanta, but don't know if they are on at any regular time

Setanta are actually showing the playoffs right through now. They had the Rockets v Lakers game on Sunday night.

Cleveland are surely a certainty to win - they look too strong with big Lebron in charge!

Denver to pull off a massive shock and go all the way beating the Cavs in the finals. They're unstoppable at home.

i used to play a lot of basketball when i was at school. i was pretty good as well, we won the scottish cup and i played for stmirren basketball team for a while.

i left stmirren after they gave me an ultimatum of football or basketball, i think i was 15 at the time, there was no contest so i chucked basketball to play football.

played a couple of seasons for paisley basketball club in the local league and the odd game for my school but pretty much lost all interest.

i always found a lot of folk involved with basketball to be arseholes if i'm honest.

I went to see a Knicks game in New York 2 Christmas' ago. It was brilliant and I've tried to watch as much basketball as I can since.

Anyone watching Game 2 of The Finals on Channel 5?

Im a New York Knicks fan.
I saw game 2 of the finals today, very close last 2 quarters and Magic could have won it at the death I think if Lee had of done better with the alleyoop attempt but Orlando threw it away in OT. I hope orlando win the series but cant see them coming back from 2-0.

I've stayed up to watch all 3 games so far of the NBA finals. Really hoping the Magic win, as I feel the Lakers rely too much on Bryant. Magic will win all thier home games to make it 3-2 Magic im hoping.

I've been to see the Magic twice now. Once against the Chicago Bulls when Steve Francis was still at the Magic, which went to OT with the Bulls winning 112-111. Second time was against the Sixers where Allen Iverson had 36 points but they still lost and the magic won. Dwight Howard had a good game as well.

I tried to watch some of this last night when the hockey ended but I just couldn't, it was incredibly boring. I just cannot enjoy watching a sport that is so repetitive. I think I've only seen one good basketball game in my life and I actually posted about it on this thread.

Your watching the game the wrong way. Tape it, then watch it the next day and fast forward through the boring chat during time outs. Its brill, very exciting with very close competive games.
GO MAGIC.
