Aye it's a pain in the arse, I'm trying to get a few badges/kits to complete team pages.

Are you guys buying these players or are you just getting lucky in packs?

You can pick up alot of guys in trades for around 300 coins. I've got some real bargains from it because there is usually loads of the one player on offer.

I got Walter Samuel for 800 and Diego Forlan for 1,100 for instance.

I had been going about this game all the wrong way. I'd been building my team up gradually with my first manager (4-1-2-1-2) but after a few disasterous 1st round exits my morale plummetted. Getting it back up is a c**t again. After a wee bit of experimentation I settled for Walter Smith with a 4-3-3, rebuilt my squad by using the trading system (which I hadn't been doing much of previously) and have ended up with a tremendous line-up, and Darren Mackie.

Got Deco in a pack the other night. I was delighted but he doesn't really fit into my system. That's the great thing about this, build your team around him or not?

I'm thinking of trading away Stevie Gerrard for that very reason.

Why can I never find any bargains in the trading section? The only one I've ever signed from there was Darren Fletcher for 700 coins, and he went straight into my collection.

Thought I'd give this a bump as I've recently started getting into this with the legends that are Plissken Utd :D

I'm very bad at it though. I keep soldiering on online but I seem to play teams with near-enough 100% chemistry, so every 50-50, header, tackle goes their way. I've had a few thumpings

Been playing offline games in an attempt to boost my team.

Search for them in the trading section.

The search facility for gameplay/info cards is extremely poor however, as you can't filter which cards you want to look for. This is particularly frustrating when you're looking for a badge or a strip to complete a collection, and you have to wade through hundreds on the off chance the one you're looking for will be there.

This is easily the most annoying thing about it. Anyone know if EA plan to get an update out to fix it?

I'm giving up on this. Far too many things I don't like about it.

I have a two-star team, and every time I go to play a game online I get matched up against a five-star team. Doesn't matter how many times I try.

I can't get enough coins to buy decent packs as I need to keep buying bronze packs to renew player contracts, so any coins I make from beating the computer just disappear.

I've played about thirty games and I think I've only won two or three. Not enjoying it at all.

You've got to watch your morale. A couple of defeats will make a serious dent on your players performance.

Use the trading to get some bargain players, you then get major coins for them when you move them into your collection.

Don't take my advice though, I'm frustrated as f**k at getting beaten in finals every fucking time. When I had it on last night I applied my last Contract card to the wrong player by mistake and the trhing got switched off in the huff.

I gave it another try and now I'm doing a lot better. My team are now a three-and-a-half-star team but I've concentrated on getting players all of the same nationality who all like 4-4-2, so when I've got my full-strength team out I've got 100% chemistry.

Team is:

GK Iraizoz

LB Pernia
CB Jarque
CB Carlos Cuellar
RB Sergio Sanchez

LM Bessat
CM De La Red
CM Stirling
RM Valdo

ST Luis Garcia
ST Joselito

Won my first tournament online the other day, the Bronze Divisional Cup. Scored 23 goals in the four games and only conceded 3!

I've solved my contract problem. What I did was play my shit bronze team against the computer on Professional level (where I can still win 5-0 or 6-0), they have longer contracts and it meant that after each game I was getting enough coins to buy a gold contract card. Have a look around and you can usually pick up ones offering 15 games (plus another 2 for having Aragones as my manager) for about 800 coins.

I've still got the same team (although Arfield's come in for Bessat) but now they're all tied up for at least 15 games. Moving up to World Class level means I'm now getting about 900-950 coins per match. Saving up for a few gold packs.

I got this two weeks ago, and its really good. My team is this:

GK : Gomes.
CBs : Juan, Lucio, Naldo.
RM: Robinho CDM: Melo CAM: Kaka CDM: Ze Roberto LM: Michel Bastos.
STs: Amauri, Luis Fabiano.

Only Gomes, Naldo, Melo and Ze Roberto are below 90. I bought all of them, then bough eleven (3-5-2) formation cards and put them on all of them. All of them are in their correct positions, minus Robinho, and with Scolari as manager my Chemistry is 100%

I am now buliding a French team, also 3-5-2 and im going to work it the same way, so that they will be used as a second team for when fitness is low in the Brazil team.

Also helps when i know a glitch to get unlimited coins, although it takes a while to build up as you get 500 at a time. But if you stick at it long enough, it pays off big time.
