Who'll get 6th place?

looking at the table there I have to say, St Johnstone are looking pretty good 5 points behind hearts with 3 games in hand. Hearts have had some bad injury problems though so they could start getting some points on the board again soon. How about aberdeen? They've been pretty dismall lately can they turn it around and go on a run?

Part of me is really thinking St Johnstone could make the top 6. I've seen em 3 times this year first game I thought they were pretty good, 2nd we were really bad so cant really make much from that, third game was a bit of a horror though. I guess their defence is probably just too weak to make it but they could surprise me.

Who do you think will make it?

What has been said recently by Celtic about SPL referees is turning out to be true. The standard is shocking to say the least.

St.Johnstone v Aberdeen 16/3/10

Games continue thick and fast and next up is Aberdeen at McD. Having gone ahead of them after todays result, this game presents an excellent opportunity to extend that gap to four points and also close the gap on 6th place Hearts.. So a big big game for both sides. I thought we were unlucky to lose the first game in Aberdeen earlier and believe the 3 points are there for the taking if we apply ourselves and Aberdeens shite form continues.. Of course, form often goes out the window for no reason so I aint taking anything for granted..

Team wise, I would drop Millar to the bench and start with Morais, Muzz, Morris and Craig in midfield and if Sammy is fit, start him in place of Savo.. Keep the back four the same.. As for Smithy, I would continue with him but someone has to get it through his thick skull that he is the keeper not the sweeper and tell him in no uncertain terms to cease and desist from going fucking walkabout..

I can't imagine the Dons will bring anything like a decent support, ( by their usual standard..Which is a shame ) and should they start poorly, the fans who do attend may well turn on them quickly.. If this does happen, we need to take advantage of this as the players heads will go down quickly..

Can't see us keeping a clean sheet either so I am going with 2-1 Saints..

Hamilton V Falkirk

When people eventually get round to it. This is Falkirk's big chance to cut their degree of detachment from the rest of the league to simply "bad" rather than it's current state of "ominously bad".
A win for Hamilton would push them 9 points clear of Falkirk. This would remove what little pressure exists on Hamilton, and would near enough confirm what most already see as a near certainty........Falkirk's relegation (with only the implosion of St Mirren offering any chance of a reprieve, but Falkirk's recent record against St Mirren is the worst in the league by a long way.

A draw is of little or no use to Falkirk, but it wouldn't be too shabby a result for Hamilton. Having said that, no-one playing us has anything to fear, and Hamilton could and should fancy themselves to dispose of this season's whipping boys.

I reckon either a turgid 0-0, or Hamilton to put us out of our misery in a 1-0 defeat.

Across the season, relegation's favoured group has featured Hamilton, Killie, St Johnstone and now St Mirren. I think we are the only ever presents in everyone's list. Now we turn to Paisley as the home of the club we just might catch (until we play them that is).

They've Run Out of Dates...

Hibs draw today means a replay for us (and we were lucky to get that!!). So Hibs v Dundee Utd is off a week on Wednesday... Leaving Utd with:

Sat 20 Mar... Aberdeen (A)

Tue/Wed 23/4 Mar... No Game [Hibs involved in Scottish Cup] OR Dundee Utd v Rangers (A, Scottish Cup replay)

Sat 27 Mar... Motherwell (A)

Tue/Wed 31 Mar... Blank Date

Mon 5 Apr... v St Johnstone (A)

Tue/Wed 6/7 Apr... Blank Date

Sat/Sun 10/11 Apr... No Game [Rangers involved in Scottish Cup] OR Dundee Utd v ? (N, Scottish Cup SFs) ... also SPL splits

To Be Arranged... v Hibs (A), v Rangers (H)

So presumably Utd are going to end up playing Tue/Wed - Mon - Wed... i.e. 2 games in 3 days... possibly the midweek before a Scottish Cup SF?

Or will the SPL perhaps hold a pre-split game (Rangers or Hibs) over until after the split... and use one of the couple of midweeks available then?

Or if tomorrow's game ends up in a clear result - could SPL "crash re-arrange" Dundee Utd v Rangers, from April 4th onto Tue/Wed 23/24 March?
