We are pleased to announce the launch of our free to enter Euro 2016 Prediction League this morning.
Obviously as usual we are at home watching everyone else at the party but with our Predictor you can win a few quid to ease the pain of another major passing us by.
How To Join
Entering is simple, just click on the Predictor link at the top of the page here and you'll be taken to the Prediction League. If you've played any of our competitions over the years your can login using your existing username and password, or if you're new to the system click on New USer to get started. It's an old system, it doesn't look very pretty but it gets the job done.
Once you've logged in click on My Profile and then tick the box to join the Euro 2016 league under Joined Leagues.
Note that there is a default score in the profile field, filling this in will populate all the scores for you with this default but you still need to click the Predict button to activate it!
Entering Your Predictions
Having joined the league click on My Missing Predictions. You'll see all the group games listed. We've split these into Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 just to split them up. As soon as the knock out stage games are known we'll add these and so on until the final. Enter your score prediction in each game. In the jnock out phases this will be the score after 90 mins play, Extra Time doesn't count for the purposes of this game.
Once you've entered your guesses click the Predict button to activate them. You can amend any prediction right up until kick off after which the match is locked.
Scoring
There is a maximum of 10 points on offer on each game.
If you predict the correct score for the "home" team you get 1 point.
If you predict the correct score for the "away" team you get 1 point.
If you predict the correct outcome of a game ie; Home Win, Away Win, Draw then you get 3 points.
If you only predict the completely correct result you get 5 further points.
So for example if you predicted France to beat Romania 2-0 in the first game and it finished 1-0 to France you would be awarded 4 points (1 for the Romania goals and 3 for the right outcome)
League Table
We will update the league table after every game. Don't be alarmed if your name isn't showing on there after you join the league. It will be there after the first game is finished.
Prizes
We have £350 in the prize pot for the game. This will be divided as follows;
Winner - £200
Runner Up - £100
Third Place - £50
The prizes will be in Amazon Gift Vouchers which will be sent via email to the winners after the final match is complete and the tables are updated.
